Spiritual Fatherhood (Part 2)
In my previous blog I have talked about spiritual fatherhood in the broader sense of the word. I would like to personalize it more and use Paul as a very good example of spiritual fatherhood.
He even said in 1 Corinthians 4 that we should be imitators of him as a spiritual father
Let's take a look…
Spiritual Fatherhood
One of the greatest needs in the Kingdom of God in the 21st century.
We are inundated with so much information on a daily basis - people giving us their opinion, viewpoint and perspective on different matters pertaining to God. We are constantly being told about principles, keys and methods that will eventually bring us to a life of abundance and success.
Grace is a Person
We have come to now Jesus as being The Way, The Truth and The Life. We have also come to know that God is love, but have you ever thought about the fact that Grace might be a person?
Well, let me show you.
Let me just say this. Grace is however not a doctrine. Grace is both a Person and a dynamic working, an action, an outflow and a powerful accomplishment coming from that Person - Jesus Christ!
How God blesses…
As I have previously mentioned, God acts for our good and He sees our need and not necessarily our desire. He blesses by intervention.
Let me share some scriptures to underpin it:
1) Act 3:26 Having raised up His son Jesus, God sent Him to you first, to bless you in turning every one of you away from his iniquities. God sent His Son to bless us, to intervene in our lives with what He planned to do for us.
Are you counting?
I have yet to find the person who does not like or want to be blessed. Our lives were designed to experience blessing. I have conducted a small study about blessing and to bless.
