We have come to now Jesus as being The Way, The Truth and The Life. We have also come to know that God is love, but have you ever thought about the fact that Grace might be a person?

Well, let me show you.

Let me just say this. Grace is however not a doctrine. Grace is both a Person and a dynamic working, an action, an outflow and a powerful accomplishment coming from that Person - Jesus Christ!

The key to everything here is the word 'the'

The Bible says (about Jesus)

John 1 1 In the beginning was THE Word, and THE Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 14 And THE Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (NB without the definite article THE) 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Correct translation =THE Grace and THE Truth (NB the definite article "THE" is present - although the definite article is absent in most of the Bible Translations, it does appear in the original Greek language).

As I have said earlier: 'the' plays a VERY important role here. I however do not want to bore you with a tedious English lesson on grammar, verbs and adjectives, but this will definitely open up certain things to you. The word 'the'(definite article) has two different functions in English and Greek. In English this word 'the' is used to refer to a particular object for instance: the cat, the table etc. In Greek this word 'the' serves to identify. In the English language you will never put this word before a noun, (e.g the James) However, to do this in Greek is VERY common.

In other words, conducted from the above study, where the Bible speaks about "THE grace and THE truth" - it refers to a Person - and that Person is Jesus Christ

Joh 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am THE Way, THE Truth, and THE Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me.

Jesus is saying here: I myself in person exist as the Way, the Truth and the Life and out of His person flow all aspects of Truth, of Life and of Ways (way of living).

Similarly, Jesus Christ as a person is: THE Grace and THE Truth and out of His person flow all qualities of Grace and of Truth

When I've discovered this, I was very excited as it reveals a total different side to Jesus and to the word of God. I urge you to read the bible with this as the background and you will be astound to what you will find!
